The 2015 Miss Independence Pageant will be held July 4th at Wynne Park Stage at the following times: Ages 7-9 – 1pm, attire is Sunday Best Ages 10-13 – 3pm, attire is Formal Dress Ages 14-18 – 6pm, attire is Formal Dress The pageant for all other ages will be held June 27th: 0-11 Months:
The 4th of July Homecoming Parade will begin at 9 am on Second Street in Downtown Corning and will end at Wynn Park. Hope everyone makes plans to join us!

The Corning Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2013 Ladies Night Event was held on December 2, 2013. Chairperson Amanda Wiedeman did an outstanding job making the occasion a big success. All of the tables entered in the Table Decorating Contest were beautiful, making a difficult job for the judges. Contest Winners were: 1st Place, Red Hat
Walter McMillan, District Engineer District 10, Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department addresses the Corning Area Chamber of Commerce at their monthly Chamber Luncheon Meeting. Mr McMillan gave an update on Highway projects in our District.
Corning Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes four new Board Members. Cliff Gifford with Farm Bureau, Nick Manatt with Clay County Electric Coop Corp, Kathy Riggan with Legacy Equipment, Shane Ward with Harp’s Foods started their first term in September, 2014. Exiting the Board was Greg Ricker, Amanda Wiedeman, Brigitte McDonald and Kellee Smith.
