The City of Corning Police Department is currently looking to hire an Entry-Level Dispatcher:
Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. Must pass a drug test and background check. Will need to have basic computer skills, communicate well with others and multi-task. The candidate will receive mandatory training in advanced communication and computer technologies.
Schedule: This is a continuous 24 hour/365-day operation. Must be available to work rotating shift work, overtime and call back.
Salary Range: Based on experience.
Duties: Receive, relay and/or transmit routine and emergency calls to police, fire and other public agencies. Maintain a log of radio transmissions, telephone calls and other information. Maintain incident reports of criminal activity or complaints.
